Perfumes can be classified into main fragrance groups, such as floral, woody, fruity, green, and herbal. Each fragrance group offers a distinct style and feeling.

Perfumes are also classified based on the concentration of fragrance, ranging from:

Eau de Cologne (EDC): This is the lowest concentration among perfume types. It typically contains a fragrance concentration of only 2% - 4%. As a result, the scent of EDC only lasts for about 1 - 2 hours after application.

Eau de Toilette (EDT): This is a commonly used type of perfume with a medium concentration, typically containing about 5% - 15% fragrance oils. The duration of the scent of EDT is longer than EDC, lasting from 2 to 4 hours.

Eau de Parfum (EDP): This is a higher concentration, with EDP containing about 15% - 20% fragrance oils. The scent of EDP can last from 4 to 6 hours.

Parfum or Extrait de Parfum (EDP): This is the highest concentration among perfumes, typically containing fragrance oils of 20% or higher. The scent of Parfum can last up to 8 hours or even longer, sometimes lasting the entire day.
