Safety of cosmetic

To meet the obligations under Vietnamese Ministry of Health and the ASEAN Cosmetic Association, OCM fulfill specific duties before placing any product to market. These include a safety assessment, provision of product information and compliance with ingredients and labeling requirements.

Consumer safety and regulatory compliances is the overriding duty in manufacturer of cosmetic and personal care in OCM Vietnam Corporation. We welcome this duty as a fundamental principle guiding everything we do.

In Vietnam, the cosmetics industry is governed by the Vietnamese Ministry of Health and the ASEAN Cosmetic Association. Mandatory documents are 06/2011/TT-BYT, Circular on Cosmetic Administration; Annexes of the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive; Annex 2 (Cosing 2) List of substances prohibited in cosmetic products

In general, the regulation requires cosmetics to cause no damage to human health when applied under either normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use. In other words, OCM is responsible for conducting safety assessments, provision of product information, compliance with ingredients and labeling rules and register "product notification" with Vietnamese Ministry of Health .

Beside above mandatory regulations of Vietnam and ASEAN, we consider EU or US regulations likes REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals), Cosing (European Commission - Cosmetic Ingredients Database) and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) are valuable inventory to update needed safety information of all our using ingredients.
